CONCEPTUAL ART
Definition

Conceptual art, sometimes simply called conceptualism, is art in which the concept or idea involved in the work take precedence over traditional aesthetic, technical, and material concerns. In other words, it is art in which the idea presented by the artist is considered more important than the finished product, if there is one.

  Overlooked

I took a picture next to a bush blowing in the wind. I think its unique because plants are living things like humans being blown around, pushed around, rained on and stepped on but are still expected to live, persevere and prosper. Even something as simply as shrubbery landscaped around buildings can be spat on and over looked.

Blind to Beauty

Our piece is about how many people tend to ignore the beautiful nature around them, when it should be appreciated.  The bright green leaves sprouting out of the darkwood tree shows how if you're paying attention, there's always light coming out of the darkness.

Love in the 305

This palm tree is very symbolic to Isabella and me. We are both from New Jersey and had mutual friends before school. In New Jersey, once it hits September the leaves get darker and the snow will shortly begin to fall. It is often freezing cold and not bearable to be outside. Bella and I are showing a heart near the palm tree because Miami is our happy place. The palm tree represents happiness in the warm weather as we both get sad in the cold!
