Group work:
Keep the vibes good: some kids use class as an escape from things going on outside of the classroom. If the vibes are good always then it will be a place they feel safe.
smile often: helps create a positive environment and it is something easy
admit when you don't know: if the teacher is able to admit when they don't know the answer to something then it helps make the student feel like they are not below the teacher.
Eden, Lenox, Rea: Our one individual rule would be that no question is a stupid question. Students should never be afraid to say the wrong thing and this encourages open communication

ReplyDelete1. Keep the vibes good- This is important because you want to make sure that the energy in the room is positive so that the children feel comfortable. It is essential to remain calm and happy because we are the adults in the room and want to make sure what is going on in our personal lives does not affect the students.
2. Non- negotiables- This is important because setting up rules in the classroom gives the students structure and allows them to be successful because they are aware of the rules. It also guides them to figure out how to handle different situations.
3. Model Vulnerability- This allows students to be more open to sharing in the classroom, creating deeper connections and relationships between students. This practice can promote empathy and kindness. It can also facilitate an environment where children want to share and allows them to feel heard.
Individual work:
We think it is important to have small amount of students per class, this small student teacher ratio will facilitate an intimate learning experience.

Have Non-Negotiables: In other words, it means to make rules in the class. We need to make rules to let children know there are boundaries in the class. The rules will limits their behaves but also develop their discipline.
Smile Often: Teachers should smile with children often to build a relaxed atmosphere in the classroom. It’ll help children to express their ideas and attract them to study.
Give kids a chance to solve problems on their own: This is also important because the whole point of teaching is to give students a chance to think, while having the students truly understand the materials and have the ability to draw inferences from it.

Hairui Deng: I think to smile often is the most vital tip if I’m having a classroom. The goal of having a class is to learn and become a better person, so building a friendship with children will help with children's expression. Therefore, they'll learn through the interactions.
Wenyang Cao: I believe giving kids a chance to solve problems on their own is the most important. Because having the students understand all the materials that a teacher taught is the most important aspect of this process. As students proceed to the real world, they will face lots of problems that they need to solve on their own. By giving kids a chance to solve problems in the classroom will help them learn better and eventually become more prepared for the future.

Give kids a chance to problem solve on their own: I think it is important that kids figure out things on their own rather than getting the answer handed to them. Even if their answer is wrong they will learn from their mistakes.
Admit when you don't know: I think it is important for kids to ask questions rather then pretend that they understand a certain topic.
Smile often: Sometimes school can be very difficult and stressful so if you don't take some time to smile it will make school even harder.

The most important tip for me would be giving kids a chance to problem solve on their own. This is because personally I learn a lot from my mistakes and I believe that many others do. If students are just handed the answers they will never fully understand a topic.
The 3 tips that resonate with me:

2. Laugh with your students
3.Keep the Vibes Good
The most important tip:
Personally, I believe the most important tip is to keep the vibes good. I believe a classroom is no fun without these 3 tips above, but keeping the vibes good encompasses them all. Learning is obviously the main focus and point of school, but by having a positive, fun, and uplifting atmosphere in the classroom can really make a difference in the student's lives. It will also motivate them more to continue learning and ask questions because they feel so encouraged, eager, and comfortable.
