About the Sunshine State Standards:

The Sunshine State Standards establish the core curricular content for eight subject areas: language arts, science, mathematics, social studies, visual and performing arts, physical education, health, and foreign languages.

Standards are simple statements about what students are expected to know or do as a result of what they learn in class. Standards ensure that all schools and all classrooms have the same expectations for students. They help to make sure that all children have access to a high-quality education.

Gustavo Matamoros

Sound as raw matter for the creation of art.

From a critical-listening point of view, to listen for (it is to hone down the very voice you are choosing to listen to by putting away the rest of the sounds) and to listen to (it is to listen to all the sounds as a way of discovery).

Music as sound is the same as saying a description of the world in motion.
