Teacher: Provides music for students

Students: Paper and drawing/writing utensil

 

9. Activity

●      Students begin with a whole body warm up

○      Isolating each muscle

○      Then warming up all muscles and stimulating nerves

○      Meditation

●      The students take their first piece of paper 

○      Ask a student to pick a shape

■      Every student draws that shape on his/her paper

●      30 seconds to turn it into a drawing

○      Take a picture of the paper

○      Ask another student to pick a shape

■      Everyone adds it in their current drawing

●      30 more seconds to draw

○      Take a new picture

○      Ask another student to pick a shape

■      Everyone adds it in their current drawing

●      30 more seconds to draw

○      Take a new picture

○      Ask another student to pick a shape

■      Everyone adds it in their current drawing

●      1 more seconds to draw

○      Take a new picture

○      Everyone titles their drawing

●      Take time to share students drawing with the class and the process of how it went

   1      November 16, 2021   Beauty in Madness  Ruiyan Qi   I grew up seeing the painting The Starry Night everywhere around me and I always thought it was beautiful although I did not pay much attention to it. It was only after studying the piece of art by Van Gogh that I got to appreciate it. I understood the experiences of the man behind the art and what he was going through at the time and got to appreciate the amount of beauty that comes from negative experiences.
